And here is Jeslyn to introduce the front room and its new floor.
It is a little dirty with saw dust etc still, but it was the easiest room yet - nice and rectangular. except for a little niche now the finishing crew will have it shining soon...
If you are reading this you may have figured out that I am not actually "old"... the nickname was given to me by a friend in the USAF who thought it was funny that I got up every morning and ate Old Fashion oatmeal with 2 eggs, every day, like an "old man". I embraced the moniker as it was a dramatic step up from the Sesame Street references of my youth.
So may wonder where the "y" came from, when normally my name is spelled with "ie" at the end... according to my Father I am the namesake of Ernest Haycox, a distant relative, and in recent years I came across the fact that he went by "Erny" so I decided to pay homage here to his unique spelling of our name.
